The Bounds

Welcome to The Bounds, the research centre and counselling service for the Person-Centred Counselling Programme at the University of Aberdeen. The centre provides the local community with a freely available counselling service whilst conducting high quality research to inform practice, policy, theory and education.

This website covers all aspects of the service; contact details, outlining the process, our policies and procedures and contains our service agreements.

Counselling Service

Our free service will usually require you to attend for 50 minutes, at the same time, once a week.
Research

The Bounds also offers the opportunity to conduct high quality research into issues associated with mental health.
Confidentiality & Ethics

All counselling and research carried out at The Bounds is practiced both confidentially and ethically.
