CGD Month in Review for May 2023
May 2023 has been a challenging month for our colleagues in Rwanda impacted by the severe flooding, and our thoughts are with them and their loved ones.
What's been happening in the CGD this month:

- The GrOW team at the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) has shared three new videos featuring the strands of work supported under the GrOW-EA inititative. View them on our website, here.
- Prof Pamela Abbott, Prof Graeme Nixon and Dr Rachel Shanks ended the month with a presentation about the project to the University of Aberdeen's School of Education Research Seminar Series. Including an overview of the project, mindfulness intervention, and insights into the proposal writing for the grant, the recording will be available on the project website in the next couple of days.

Looking ahead to summer 2023:
- Prof Pamela Abbott is speaking at SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL Scotland's 'A Day of Discovery Fast Fashion - friend or foe?' on 'The Ethics and Sustainability of Fast Fashion' on 3rd June at the Discovery Centre in Dundee.
- Prof Pamela Abbott is the plenary speaker at the Development Studies Association Scotland one-day conference in Glasgow on Monday 3rd July. Flyer available here.
