The two day conference will provide an opportunity for national, regional and international researchers, academics, government officials, representatives of development partners and international and local NGOs with an interest in Rwanda, to find out about the most recent findings from public policy research on Rwanda and how these findings can be used to pave the way to Self Reliance. Local and international researchers will present their findings and policy recommendations from innovative cutting edge research.

Overall Objectives of the Conference:

  1. To provide policy briefings to the government based on the papers presented at the conference
  2. To enable the networking of those carrying out policy analysis and research in Rwanda by sharing the findings of their research, with other researchers, policy makers and analysts
  3. To create awareness among policy makers and official development partners about the findings of policy research carried out in Rwanda that can inform public policy. The conference will also be a timely opportunity for engagement as the Government and its partners implement the Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Strategy-Phase 2.
  4. To showcase the policy research that IPAR has been working on over the year.
