The University of Strathclyde is celebrating the 200th anniversary of David Livingstone's birth with an event on 2nd May in the Barony Hall. The event will showcase the range of international development activity by current students of his institution in Malawi and many other African countries. Strathclyde currently has four major projects in Malawi, supported by Scottish government, in water resource management, renewable energy, community health and education, as well as a range of smaller projects across the Africa.

Speakers include the Scottish Minister for External Affairs and International Development,  Humza Yousaf, and representatives of NGOs who partner with Strathclyde in research and student placements.

The University will welcome an audience of NGOs, business partners, academics and students with interests in international development.
