Blair Stevenson and his colleagues Tiina Laajala and Pirjo-Liisa Lehtelä from the University of Oulu, Applied Science, Finland have this week visited the School of Education along with Christian Kogler from the University of Education, Upper Austria. Tiina and Lissu presented their joint research on online counselling and in addition, made presentations to an invited University audience on their work as vocational counsellors in Finland. Blair and Christian held a staff workshop on video pedagogy and the production of online teaching and learning insets. Their work was warmly received. Furthermore the group have spent time visiting schools and further education colleges and Blair Stevenson will guest edit the forthcoming special edition of the Journal Education in the North.
