Scottish Government has awarded £140, 000 to the University of Aberdeen to promote training and development of specialist qualifications in Early Years Education for teachers and other professionals working with young children.
The funding is part of Scottish Government’s ongoing work to meet the needs of the workforce for continuous professional development, together with the significant expansion in childcare. The investment in professional development for the workforce will promote skills, ensuring high quality and recognising the value of those entrusted to give young children the best start in life.
The programme, with funded places for 72 students, will involve courses at Masters Level in Early Years’ Education for qualified teachers and BA Childhood Practice graduates at the University of Aberdeen.
