The University of Aberdeen is one of the hosts of this year's Scottish Universities Reception at the American Academy of Religion/Society of Biblical Literature Annual Meeting.
You are invited to the Scottish Universities Reception at the Society of Biblical Literature Annual/American Academy of Religion Meeting.
The SBL/AAR annual meeting is the largest gathering of scholars interested in the study of religion in the world. This year the meeting is being held in Baltimore, Maryland from 23-26 November.
On Sunday evening, 24 November from 9-11 PM, a consortium of Scottish Universities (Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Highland Theological College and St Andrews) is hosting its annual reception where students, alumni/ae, prospective students and friends catch up on news, share a drink and discuss all the latest university developments. This year’s reception is graciously sponsored by The St Andrews Society of Baltimore and their Past Presidents Heritage Scholarship for outstanding high school students of Scottish descent who are entering a college or university in the U.S. or Scotland. For more information about the St Andrews Society and their scholarship please go to the society’s website: www.standrewsbaltimore.org.
The organizers of the SBL Scottish Universities Reception graciously thank the St Andrews Society of Baltimore and Walker’s Shortbread for their support of this year’s reception.
