Resources for Theological Educators

The CEFAW Research Team worked with three members of staff at UK theological education institutions (TEIs) to develop resources that could help make resources from the project useful for TEI staff teaching in different subject areas.

These resources are available through the Common Awards Hub for academic staff in institutions validated by Common Awards. Many of the books and articles in the bibliographies are also available via the Hub.

• A 45-page reader providing access to nine British theological texts on animal welfare published between the 17th and 19th centuries

• Powerpoint presentation introducing key concepts in a Christian ethics of farmed animal welfare

Interfaith Relations

• A handout using the Scriptural Reasoning method to engage animals in a Jewish, Christian, and Muslim context for a 2021 programme called Animals Across Traditions, sponsored by the Ginko Foundation.

Mission

• Annotated bibliography on the relationship of farmed animal welfare to a theology of mission
