Congratulations to PhD student Chaitanya Joshi for his newly published article in the Journal of Clinical Periodontology, the top ranking journal in dentistry.

The article describes the findings of systematic review addressing the relationship between antibodies targeting bacteria responsible for periodontal disease and the risk of coronary artery disease. This article is part of a research portfolio arising from a strong collaboration established in 2016 between the Institute of Dentistry (Karolin Hijazi, Clinical Reader in Oral Medicine; George Cherukara Senior Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry) and Cardiology (Dana Dawson, Chair in Cardiovascular Medicine).
