We are delighted to welcome our first cohort of PgCert Special Care Dentistry students to the Institute of Dentistry.
Our PgCert in Special Care Dentistry provides dentists with the theoretical knowledge and clinical expertise to care for people with special care dental needs. The part-time programme, which is studied by a mixture of on-campus and online learning, started in January 2018. To find out more about the programme and how to apply click here.
This year's group are now well underway with their studies, and have been joined by dental nurses undertaking the NEBDN Special Care post-qualification certificate to emphasise the team approach required.
They have all been working hard and learning about all aspects of managing the special care patient, and enjoying clinical time treating special care patients at the Institute of Dentistry.
