One of the most stunning and ancient venues available at the University of Aberdeen is the baronial Elphinstone Hall, designed and built in 1930.
Elphinstone Hall is a simply stunning room with an oak floor, magnificent hammer-beam roof in pitch pine and oak panelled walls. With capacity for 200 guests for wedding breakfasts and 250 for an evening reception, Elphinstone Hall is suitable for even the most extravagant of weddings. The Hall is situated next to the Linklater Rooms which can be used for Champagne drinks receptions.
Elphinstone Hall benefits from a high volume of natural light, which accentuates the hammer-beam roof and oak-panelled walls. This combined with some of the oldest oil canvas paintings in Scotland, creates a truly unique backdrop. In the warmer months, delegates are free to mingle under the cloisters and admire the view of King’s Chapel.
