Join Dr Richard Anderson for a talk about the university's newest exhibition, exploring Aberdeen's connections to transatlantic slavery.

This talk will discuss the creation of the University of Aberdeen’s 2023 exhibition ‘Legacies of Slavery: Transatlantic Slavery and Aberdeen’ as part of the University’s commitment to improve understanding of both the institution’s own colonial legacy and the wider region’s connections to the enslavement of people.

The talk will focus on the unique Museums and Special Collections items selected for the exhibition and the challenges of presenting difficult histories in public exhibitions.
