Biography: Son of James Chalmers; born Aberchirder, 22 August 1887. M.B., 1912; D.P.H., 1913. Commissioned, R.A.M.C. (T.), 21 September 1915. Served-Home, 1915, 1918-19; Egyptian Expeditionary Force, November 1915-November 1918. Final rank, Acting Major. Mentioned in despatches, January 1919.
