Biography: Son of Andrew Baxter; born Aberdeen, 22 November 1870. M.B., 1892; M.D., 1897. Lieutenant (M.O.), Cheshire Yeomanry, 1912; Deputy Assistant Director of Medical Services, 1st Mounted Division; Officer Commanding 2/2nd East Lancashire Field Ambulance. Served - Home, 1914-17; France, 1917-19. Final rank, Lieutenant-Colonel. Two mentions, 1917, 1919.
