Ritchie, James Ronald

Biography: Son of Mrs. Ritchie, 18 Brimmond Place, Aberdeen ; born Aberdeen, 1908 ; educated at Robert Gordon's College. In 1929 he graduated M.A. with Honours in English-History, and after a year's post-graduate study went out to teach in the Government Secondary School at Assiut in Upper Egypt. In 1939 he entered the Royal Air Force. After training and a spell of service he lost his life in a flying accident.
