Biography: Son of Mrs. G. Munro, and stepson of George S. Munro, Balvenie Street, Dufftown; born Dufftown, 1920; educated at Mortlach Secondary School. For some years after leaving school he was in the civil service and then entered the University. He joined the army on the outbreak of war and was commissioned in the Lancashire Regiment, being quickly promoted to the rank of Captain and acting as Adjutant. On 13 November 1943 he died from injuries received in a road accident.
