Biography: Son of Charles Mcmenamen Laing and Kathleen Dora Laing, Hendon ; born Folkestone, 3 January 1923 ; educated at Wellington College. He joined the Royal Air Force in 1941 and attended a course for Cadets at the University. After training as a Pilot he was attached to Bomber Command, and on 2 August 1943 lost his life when his plane crashed over Hamburg.
