Franklin, Roger Nicholas

Biography: Son of Richard James Franklin and of Gladys Susie Franklin (nee Allum), London ; born Seven Kings, Essex, 12 September 1922 ; educated at All Saints, Bloxham, Oxford. He entered the Royal Air Force in 1941 and attended a Cadets' course at the University. He then went for training as a pilot with Fighter Command, but at the end of his course lost his life in a collision with another plane.
