Biography: Son of John and Isabella Carver, Glentruim, Inverness-shire; born 19 November 1906 ; educated at Kingussie Secondary School. In 1928 he graduated B.Com., and later worked in the Shipping Department of the Anglo-Saxon Oil Company, London. He entered the Lovat Scouts as a volunteer, and after training served for eighteen months in the Faroe Islands. He was accidentally killed during further training at Thurso on 2 April 1943.
