Laing, Alfred Martin
Biography: Son of Robert Laing; born Edinkillie, Morayshire, 12 June 1875. M.A., 1900; LL.B., 1903. Five years in U Company, 1st Volunteer Battalion Gordon Highlanders. Lieutenant 10th Seaforth Highlanders, 23 December 1914; attached to 1st Essex Regiment. Served-Gallipoli, 4 months; invalided home ; attached to 3rd (Reserve) Seaforth Highlanders. Final rank, Captain.
