Biography: Son of David M. J. James; born Huntly, 28 April 1899. Medicine, 1916-17, 1919- . A.U.O.T.C. Private, 41st T.R.B., September 1917; commissioned, March 1918; attached to No.2 O.C.B., 4th Bedfords. Served - Home, 9 months; France, 5 months. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant.
