Craigen, William Gordon
Biography: Son of John Craigen; born Stonehaven, 29 July 1884. M.A., 1905; LL.B (dist.), 1908. Previously in 2nd Scottish Horse (University Troop). 2nd Lieutenant, 1st Highland Brigade, Royal Field Artillery (Territorial), 2 September 1914; seconded for special duty, 29 June 1915. Home service, Chief Instructor, Artillery Training Schools, June 1915-July 1918. Invalided. Military Staff, Ministry of Munitions, 1918-19. Final rank, Acting Major. Name brought to notice of Secretary of State, February 1917.
