- Biography
- Holland House: Jacobean mansion at Kensington, built c.1605 for Sir Walter Cope, father-in-law of Henry Rich, first earl of Holland. Later purchased by Henry Fox, first Baron Holland. Library was extensive and well-used by the "Holland House set", a group of whig politicans and men of letters which developed around Henry Richard Fox, third Baron Holland, and his wife Elizabeth Vassall Holland, Lady Holland (act. 1797-1845).
