- Nephew of Markus Sittikus von Hohenems.
From Provenance Catalogue: A great book-lover who left behind a large and valuable library when he died in 1620. His interest ranged from history and literature to physics, astronomy and mathematics and he was a correspondent of Galileo Galilei. The greater part of his library is now in the Vatican, the rest being dispersed. - Biography Date
