Wallace, James

Biography

Church of Scotland minister and writer on Orkney. A graduate of King's College, 1659, he first became a schoolmaster in Fortrose. Then, in 1678 he moved to St Magnus Cathedral, Kirkwall. He correspnded with Sir Robert Sibbald, the king's geographer for Scotland, over the latter's Scotia illustrata.
