Du Moulin, Pierre
- Biography
- French protestant minister and religious controversalist, Du Moulin was educated at Sedan, then Cambridge. He became Professor of Philosophy and Logic at Leiden University, 1592-98, and there developed as a writer, and developed into a leading voice of French protestantism. He moved to England in 1615 and became a strong supporter of James VI and I, and a promoter of protestant unity. He returned to France and to Sedan where he spent his last years.
