English and Polish Seventeenth-Century Almanacs as a Source for a History of Every Day Life

In this lecture, Professor Jakub Basista from the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland, will combine his research on popular culture, book history and early modern piety in the Polish and English public spheres.

Professor dr. hab. Jakub Basista is a historian specializing in early modern European and world history. His interests often take him to the 20th century as well. He is a fellow of the Royal Historical Society and member of the Renaissance Society of America,  Society for Reformation Studies, and International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in History.
