Andrew Gordon and Alasdair Hunter present "A Merry Note”, an online performance exploring correspondence in times of separation, isolation and absence, as explored through the lens of Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost and other contemporary sources.
This virtual event will be the first screening of a performance made with Scottish actors under lockdown and will be followed by a conversation between CEMS co-director Andrew Gordon and theatre director Alasdair Hunter.
The event will be taking place at 7.30pm on Thursday, 25th June 2020.

Alasdair is Artistic Director of Shakespeare.scot – a global Shakespeare company rooted in Scotland, creating global opportunities for the growth of Scottish and international artists through continued exploration and production of the plays of William Shakespeare. He is a Connections Director for the National Theatre. He regularly teaches at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. His work has been seen in UK theatres including the Tron Theatre, Traverse Theatre, Hampstead Theatre, and Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, as well as across the Midwest USA including Chicago and St Louis.
