After their win at the UK Case competition in February, the largest student-led competition of its kind in the UK, the Aberdeen University Consulting Group have been shortlisted for the National Societies and Volunteering Awards 2020 for the "Development Award".
The National Societies & Volunteering Awards are an annual celebration of incredible student volunteers and societies from across the UK. With the Development Award category recognising outstanding development opportunities created through student volunteering and societies.
In the short time of its existence the Aberdeen University Consulting Group have made great contributions to the campus, predominantly reflected by the outstanding performance seen in the Scottish and then UK case competitions.
The society are feeling “extremely grateful for the NVSA shortlisting us for the Development Award. This is an important achievement for us that recognises how we bring students together and teach them how to solve real-life business issues, using a toolkit of frameworks and problem-solving strategies.
Winning a UK-wide case competition earlier this year against other management consulting societies from LSE, University of Cambridge, and University of Edinburgh, highlighted the effectiveness of the service the society provides and that it has a real impact on members’ careers.”
The awards will be taking place virtually on Wednesday 6th May 2020.
