The University of Aberdeen has climbed 17 places in the Guardian University Guide 2020, released today (Friday June 7).
Aberdeen was ranked 34 in the UK and 5th in Scotland.
Dentistry at the University was named top in the UK, with medicine ranked 2nd in the UK.
Other top 10 subjects in the UK were Anthropology (4th), Sociology (7th) and Law (9th).
Computer Science & Information Systems, was 24th in the UK but given 105 universities were ranked for this subject in the UK, this means Aberdeen is also above the upper quartile in the country.
Five metrics were improved from last year - Feedback Satisfaction; Entry Tariff; Value-added Score; Career Prospects; and Continuation.
