This week our MSc Petroleum, Energy, Economics and Finance students at the Business School, University of Aberdeen gave their final presentations and displayed posters outlining the results of their summer dissertation project.
The projects covered a wide range of topics relevant to the economics of the petroleum and energy industries and marks the end of their programme in Aberdeen. One of our students, Sermphon Klaiseenger, also had the opportunity to give a presentation to the Oil & Gas Authority UK the following day based on his dissertation entitled: An Assessment of the Economics of Undeveloped Discoveries in the Southern North Sea of the UK Continental Shelf through Employment of Cluster Developments and the Introduction of Floating CNG Technology (FCNG)". It was attended by Brenda Wyllie; the OGA Area Manager, Northern North Sea and West of Shetland, Eric Marston; the OGA Area Manager for SNS and EIS, and Professor Alex G. Kemp OBE.
