We are delighted to announce that the University of Aberdeen Business School is now part of the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation network.
This network is a global, non-profit membership organisation of educational institutions, businesses, and other entities devoted to the advancement of management education. Established in 1916, AACSB provides its members with a variety of products and services to assist them with the continuous improvement of their business programs and schools.
AACSB provides internationally recognized, specialized accreditation for business and accounting programs at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral level. The AACSB Accreditation Standards challenge business school educators to pursue excellence and continuous improvement throughout their business programs. AACSB Accreditation is known, worldwide, as the longest standing, most recognized form of specialized/professional accreditation an institution and its business programs can earn.
Dr Ian Robson, the Business School’s Director of Accreditation and Head of Management Studies, is leading the full AACSB accreditation process, he commented; "This is a long term, fully engaged project that will enable the Business School to join the global elite, opening up new partnership opportunities and demonstrating an embedded commitment to improving standards of learning, research, practitioner engagement and impact".
