Earlier this month, Mark Whittington (Senior Lecturer in Accountancy and Finance) and Harminder Battu (Reader in Economics) from the University of Aberdeen's Business School travelled to SCNU, South China Normal University in Guangdong province to teach students who may come to study at the University of Aberdeen's Business School. The Business School has been working with SCNU for about ten years now and have seen many students come to study at the Business School.
Our newest joint venture is an MA in Finance and Real Estate where the students begin studying at the Nanhai campus of SCNU and then have the opportunity to continue studying in Aberdeen. A key feature of this new partnership is that Aberdeen teaches 33% of the years that students spend in China.
The photo above is of the first and second year students with Harminder Battu, Mark Whittington and some members of SCNU staff. During the week Harminder, Reader in Economics, has been teaching Economics to the first years and Mark, Deputy Dean of the school, has been teaching Financial Markets to the second years. The first cohort of students from this programme are scheduled to arrive in Aberdeen this September.
