We are delighted to host a guest lecture with Ben Herson, MA (Hons) Real Estate Alumni of the University of Aberdeen Business School.
Ben is a Director in the Global Investors & Listed team at Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking and is responsible for leading the origination, structuring and execution of large ticket, UK, commercial and residential Real Estate financings for international institutional investors across Private Equity, Investment & Fund Managers, Sovereign Wealth, Family Office and REITs.
Over the past 7 years he has been directly involved in c.£2.5BN worth of high profile underwritten and bilateral debt financings across various Real Estate sub-classes from term investment loans through to bespoke, business plan driven, bridging and development loans.
He graduated from the University of Aberdeen Business School in 2013 with a MA (Hons) in Real Estate, before starting his career at the London office of Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen (‘Helaba’) a Frankfurt based commercial bank with a specialism in commercial Real Estate lending.
Dr Rainer Schulz, Senior Lecturer in Real Estate will host this guest lecture. Ben will give an overview of his career after graduating from the University of Aberdeen Business School and insight into Real Estate capital markets with a focus on the Private Debt space i.e primary CRE loan origination, structuring and subsequent syndication/risk management. There will be time for participants to ask questions.
