CPD for Teachers of Physics - 'Electrical Phenomena'

A practical based course, focusing on the fundamental aspects of electricity and magnetism, especially relevant to Higher and Advanced Physics.

The University of Aberdeen will host a professional development day for teachers of Physics.  The course will be entirely practically based and will focus on fundamental aspects of electricity and magnetism, especially relevant ot Higher and Advanced Higher Physics.  Where appropriate, ideas for Advanced Higher Investigations will be suggested.

Course Aims

This professional development event aims to provide an opportunity to:

  • pursue ideas for student projects and demonstrations
  • undertake experiments out withthe school environment
  • increase confidence in delivering this area of the syllabus in school
  • consolidate and extend teachers' knowledge and expertise
  • network with other teachers and University Staff
