Welcome to the 46th European Conference on Visual Perception that will take place in Aberdeen, Scotland from Sunday 25th to Thursday 29th August 2024.
This year, the ECVP will be hosted in the city of Aberdeen (Scotland, UK).Aberdeen is known as the Granite City as granite is the main construction material of most buildings or, more romantically, as the Silver City as these buildings sparkle in the sunlight. It is Scotland’s third largest city, and it is within easy reach thanks to its own international airport (with regular connections to London, Manchester, Dublin, Copenhagen, and Amsterdam), railway station (Eastcoast mainline from London), and ferry terminal.
The conference features a mixture of keynote lectures, symposia, talks and poster presentations, and tutorials. The social program includes the Welcome Reception, a poster session with associated whisky tasting, Illusion Night, the Conference Dinner (separate registration at an extra cost), and the Farewell Party. This year, we are also introducing Perceptio-Nite (a networking event targeted at students), an exciting series of roundtable discussions during lunchtimes, and a third Keynote Lecture from an early or mid-career researcher (Spotlight in Vision).
