Suscipere dignare domine.
A prayer of St Jerome to God, offering
the psalter in his honour and that of the Virgin Mary and of the saints, on behalf of himself, his kindred and
his benefactors, for his dependents and for all the faithful, living and dead. He asks Jesus Christ that the psalter
may avail to gain for him salvation, the grace of true repentance and the remission of all his sins.
