Folio 47v

Miscellaneous prayers, mainly to Jesus Christ, continued.

Prayer, Domine Ihesu Christe qui in, continued.

The author asks Christ to have mercy on his soul, because in Christ he has put his trust; that when he is accused [at the Last Judgement], he may not be banished from the face of God but rather have earned pardon and the crown [of glory]. He expresses his love of, and trust in, Christ. He asks that he may walk in God's way, attain to his presence and rise again to meet him; and that, in accordance with the oath which God swore to his forefathers, the wrath of the Lord may be turned away from him.
