A prayer to St John the Baptist, asking that by his help and intercession we may
be delivered from sin.
Beate Iohannes baptista Christi precursor atque\ preco redemptoris nostri
porrige no\bis manum misericordie tue et auxiliare no\bis in omnibus
necessitatibus nostris et angustiis\ et esto pius intercessor apud altissimi
iudicis\ clemenciam quatinus tuis meritis liberare [liberari] dig\nemur ab omni
tribulacione et angustia pe\riculo et peccatorum tenebris eripiat, et ad lucem
ce\lestis gaudii perducat. Per dominum nostrum Ihesum\ Christum filium tuum qui
tecum vivit et regnat.
