The University of Aberdeen will host a prestigious biennial international conference next week (July 19-22).
The International Social Pharmacy Workshop (ISPW) convenes a global group of social scientists and scholars focused on medication use and pharmacy practice.
This conference includes the presentation of pharmacy practice research and discussion of the resulting policy implications on health systems across the world. The ISPW provides many networking opportunities that yield valuable collaborations across institutions, systems and countries.
Around 180 delegates from around the world are expected to attend the event, which will have the theme: Improving pharmacy practice: education, evidence and change.
Keynote speakers at the event include: Professor Rose Marie Parr Chief Pharmacist Scotland, Scottish Government; Professor Ian Graham, Senior Scientist at the Centre for Practice-Changing Research, Ottawa Hospital Research Institute; and Professor Nick Barber, Emeritus Professor of the Practice of Pharmacy at University College London.
Dr Margaret Watson from the University of Aberdeen, will host chair the conference.
