The University of Aberdeen will host a new course for nutritionists and dieticians to develop their skills, later this year.
The Introductory Course on Dietary Assessment Methods is aimed at those working within nutrition research and clinical and public health practice, looking to enhance their understanding of dietary assessment.
The course is hosted by the University’s dietary assessment team which includes staff with a wide range of experience from the Public Health Nutrition Research Group, the Musculoskeletal Research Group and the Rowett Institute of Nutrition and Health.
The one day session will take place at the Sir Duncan Rice Library and MacRobert Building on May 12.
An Advanced Course in Dietary Assessment Methods will also take place from May 13-15 at the Jurys Inn, in Aberdeen.
Leading scientists working in the field of nutrition from across the UK will speak at the courses, that aim to broaden knowledge in assessment techniques to enable dieticians and nutritionists to make a more informed decision as to which is the appropriate tool for their needs, both in a research context or in dealing with clients.
They are endorsed by the British Dietetic Association. The advanced course is also endorsed by the Association for Nutrition.
Spaces are limited on the courses to ensure participants can engage with the tutors and the group as a whole.
