Prospective students and their parents will later this week hear at firsthand about university and college life.

The University of Aberdeen is hosting the annual Higher Education Convention at Kings College on Thursday (September 15) and Friday (September 16).

Organised by Skills Development Scotland, in association with UCAS and the University of Aberdeen, the Convention will see college and university representatives from all over the UK gather under one roof.

Details about further and higher education courses, accommodation and funding opportunities will be among the wealth of information on offer.

Every secondary school in Grampian has been invited to attend, however, the Convention is open to anyone of any age who is interested in further and higher education and the event is free.

For people who need some help with their next step, Skills Development Scotland careers advisers will be on hand to provide impartial and professional career information, advice and support.
