The event, jointly organised by the University of Aberdeen and The Robert Gordon University, will take place in Aberdeen Music Hall, Union Street, from 10:30 am until 3:30 pm. The Fair is open to graduates and undergraduates from all universities, and entry is free.
The Press & Journal is sponsoring the Fair, and this year's opening address will be given by Andrew Blair, Assistant Managing Director of Aberdeen Journals.
“The event, which is the only summer graduate recruitment fair north of the Central Belt, enables students and recent graduates to meet with employers face-to-face and to find out about the wide range of employment opportunities on offer. Our advice to students and graduates is to make the most of the opportunity by ensuring that they present themselves well and are well-prepared."
Aspiring entrepreneurs will also be able to receive advice from Colin Graham, manager of the Student Business Incubator Unit at The Robert Gordon University. The unit provides practical support and advice to students and recent graduates interested in setting up their own businesses. Some of the young entrepreneurs it has assisted in successful start-ups will deliver a presentation on how to start a business in Meeting Room 2 of the Music Hall from 1.00 - 1.45 pm.
Graduates and students attending the Fair are advised to dress smartly, have several copies of their CV to hand, and to think about questions they would like to ask potential employers.
