Over 75 young people from Northfield, Peterhead, Torry and St Machar Academies will take part in two days of activities designed to support their Standard Grade Revision in English and Mathematics. This will include keynote lectures by Dr Paul Schlicke and Dr John Reid who will make entertaining presentations on Charles Dickens and the Moon respectively, revision workshop sessions, study skills and confidence building activities, including "Personality Bingo", a Higher Education Quiz and Wordsearch.
Whilst the main aim of the event is to support the attainment levels of local young people in English and Mathematics pupils will also gain the opportunity to experience a taste of university and student life.
During the programme pupils will have the chance to win CD vouchers and all participants will receive a certificate that will be presented to them in their schools by representatives of UALSO at the start of the new term.
