Leaders of some of the most prominent ‘Blue Chip’ businesses in the world will unite at the University of Aberdeen next week for a conference on managing human resources in global business.
Organised by AIESEC, one of the best-known groups in the Aberdeen University Students Association (AUSA), the conference, entitled The Changing Face of Personnel Culture, will be held on Monday, May 9, in Elphinstone Hall, University of Aberdeen.
The event is designed to provide attendees with an insight and an understanding of practical applications on the organisation and management of human resources in the business world.
Global leaders will attend the event from companies such as FORD, Ernst & Young, and Wood Group. Each company representative will deliver a talk on their business and run interactive workshops which will focus on one of the three conference topics: Human Resource Management, Cultural Diversity, and Corporate Culture and Identity.
Chris Bones, Principal of Henley Management College, will chair the event.
Alexander Reinhold, AIESEC President, said: "This is an exciting and radical event in that it allows students, the potential business leaders of tomorrow, to mix with the business leaders of today, bridging the gap between university taught knowledge and practical 'in the field' practices.
