The University of Aberdeen has climbed three places in the latest Times Higher Education world rankings.
The world rankings which take into consideration teaching, research, citations, industry income and international outlook, placed Aberdeen 185th overall in the list of more than 1100 institutions and 28th out of the 93 in the UK.
An increase in international staff and students has seen its International Outlook score rise from 41st in 2016 to 33rd in 2017.
Aberdeen’s reputation for high quality research continues to grow, with its research citation impact rank rising 25 places to 131st in the world.
The rankings come hard on the heels of National Student Survey data that demonstrated that student satisfaction and teaching at Aberdeen were seen as well above the sector average and separate LEO (longitudinal educational outcomes) data that showed University of Aberdeen graduates do better than average in when it comes to future income.
