MA Management Studies-French, 2016
From Aberdeen to Energy Tech Marketing
What did you study?
I studied a five-year degree at the University of Aberdeen, a joint honours degree in Business Management and French.
Why did you choose the University of Aberdeen?
The University has an excellent reputation and the campus is full of history and tradition.
What were the highlights of your time at university?
As part of my degree, I spent a year studying at a business school in Caen, France where I learnt about business practices in Europe and developed my French language skills. I met so many great people whilst studying at the University from all around the world and still keep in touch!
What you have gone on to do after University?
Since graduating, I have gone on to work in marketing roles within a company and also as part of a marketing agency. I am currently marketing manager at a technology company called EC-OG in Aberdeen.
Do you think attending the University of Aberdeen helped your career?
The University Careers Service was very supportive in helping me to craft my CV and application to the Saltire Foundation (now Entrepreneurial Scotland) internship programme, in which I was successful in gaining a place as an intern within the energy sector after a competitive selection process.
The University's link with the Santander-sponsored internship programme was also crucial for me to land my first role after graduation in 2016. This internship led to my first full-time role in marketing which I'm very grateful for.
