You are cordially invited to the Annual Dinner of Aberdeen University Forestry Society on
FRIDAY 28TH FEBRUARY 2014 at 7.00 pm at the Copthorne Hotel, Huntly Street, Aberdeen
The Society looks forward to meeting you at this traditional event. The guest speaker has yet to be confirmed and will be announced shortly. A raffle will also be held to support student activities and we would welcome donations of suitable prizes from you. The cost of the dinner is £27.50 per person. Company sponsorship of tables is welcome, and further details are available on request. If you require accommodation, the Copthorne Hotel offers a special B&B rates to graduates (state that you are attending the Forestry Society Annual Dinner), but we recommend that you also check out online bookings. There are other hotels within the city centre that also offer good rates at this time of year.
The Society also welcomes you to the Annual Borthwick-Steven Lecture on the afternoon of the dinner. The 2014 lecture will be delivered by Pat Hardcastle, International Development Consultant. The title of the lecture is ‘‘Un-measurable in search of the unobtainable: REDD, Carbon and Development’. The lecture will begin at 3 pm.
