The University of Aberdeen will be participating in the Ancient Universities Burns Nicht, organized by the Oxford and Cambridge Society of New England. This event is being held on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Cambridge Boat Club, Gerry's Landing on the Charles River, Cambridge, MA, starting with an open bar reception at 5:30 PM. As has been the case over the past several years, participation has been opened to include alumni and friends of the Scottish ancient universities. Plenty of food, drink, pipers and country dancing are all part of this annual celebration.
The cost will remain unchanged from last year at $130 per person.
Since seating is limited to 140 people and will be reserved on a first come, first served basis, I would greatly appreciate your letting me know as soon as possible as to whether or not you will be joining the Aberdeen contingent at this gathering jcday0126@aol.com I expect to have the official program and RSVP invitations in-hand shortly, which I will distribute to those planning to attend.
