Aberdeen University Forestry Society Annual Dinner 2012

You are cordially invited to the Annual Dinner of Aberdeen University Forestry Society on FRIDAY 24TH FEBRUARY 2012 at 7.00 pm at the Copthorne Hotel, Huntly Street, Aberdeen.

The Society looks forward to meeting you at this traditional event. The Society is delighted to welcome Richard Ogilvy, Chairman of Christie-Elite Nurseries, as guest speaker. A raffle will also be held to support student activities and we would welcome donations of suitable prizes from you.

The cost of the dinner is £26.50 per person. Company sponsorship of tables is welcome, and further details are in the accompanying Alumni Newsletter. If you require accommodation, the Copthorne Hotel offers a special B&B rates to graduates (state that you are attending the Forestry Society Annual Dinner), but we recommend that you also check out online bookings. There are other hotels within the city centre that also offer good rates at this time of year.

The Society also welcomes you to the Annual Borthwick-Steven Lecture on the afternoon of the dinner. The 2012 lecture will be delivered by Mr Raymond Henderson, Bidwells. The title of the lecture is 'Wood for Fuel - Re-Energising or Draining Forestry's Power?' The lecture will begin at 3 pm.
